Support

Help, and a person who answers.

Most questions here are about one of three things: why an item is not being priced, how to make it stop, and whether a price it chose was sensible. All three are answered below. If yours is not, write to us.

If something looks wrong right now

Stop it yourself, then write to us.

Emergency stop is in your dashboard under Safety. It halts every price change on that marketplace immediately and needs nobody at our end to approve it. Your prices stay exactly where they are until you start it again, and the decision log keeps everything it recorded up to that moment.

Reach us

One address, and it goes to a person.

Write to [email protected]. We answer in English, within one business day, Monday to Friday. There is no ticket form to fill in and no queue position to check.

It helps enormously if you include the ASIN and the marketplace, and roughly when you saw the problem. Every price Marginary sends is recorded with the reasoning behind it, so with those three things we can usually read back exactly what it saw and tell you why it did what it did.

Common questions

Getting set up.

I connected Amazon but nothing is being priced.
An item is only priced once it has a cost and a floor. Items imported without a cost arrive paused and stay blocked on purpose, because a repricer with no cost basis is guessing. Your dashboard shows how many items are ready and what is holding the rest back. Add costs to those, and they start on the next cycle.
How long does setup take?
About twenty minutes if your costs are to hand: connect Amazon, import your items, enter costs, choose how to price. You can stop after any step and come back, and nothing is priced until you have finished the parts that matter.
Can I watch it for a while before it changes anything?
Yes, and we recommend it. In dry run mode the engine runs every cycle and records the price it would have sent, without sending anything to Amazon. Read a fortnight of that back, and if you agree with what it wanted to do, turn submission on.
Which marketplaces are supported?
Amazon US, Canada, UK and Germany. One account covers all four, and each is priced on its own terms, so pausing Germany leaves the United States running.
Do I need a Professional selling account?
Yes. Updating prices through the Selling Partner API requires one, and Marginary asks for that permission when you connect your account.

Why it chose that price.

Why did it lower my price?
Open the decision log for that item. Every price change records what the competing offers looked like, what your floor was after fees, and which constraint decided the outcome. If the reasoning is there and still looks wrong to you, send us the ASIN and we will read the same record.
Why did it raise my price when I was not winning the Buy Box?
Winning the Buy Box at a price that loses money is not a win. Marginary picks the price that earns the most per day after fees, and when your stock is running short it deliberately raises rather than selling your last units cheap.
Why did it not change anything for hours?
Holding is a decision, not a failure. It holds when the market read is unavailable, when an item has no cost basis, when a price war is detected, and when the price it would choose is the price already set. All of those are recorded with a reason.
Will it undercut its way to the bottom?
Not on the default strategy, which optimises for profit inside your range and holds instead of chasing during a price war. There is an aggressive undercutting strategy available, and its own description tells you to read it twice before turning it on.
How do I know it is actually making me money?
Turn on the comparison group under Safety. Marginary leaves a share of your items alone and shows both groups side by side, with the range it is confident in. It refuses to call a result proven until there are at least five items and fourteen days of selling on each side.

Account and billing.

What does a plan actually limit?
One number: how many items are priced at once. Paused and archived items cost nothing. Every plan gets the whole engine, with no features held back for higher tiers.
How do I change plan or stop?
Both are in your dashboard and take effect immediately. If you stop, your decision log stays readable, so the record of what was done to your prices does not disappear with the subscription.
What happens at the end of the free fortnight?
Starter begins. Nothing is charged during the fourteen days, and you can stop before it ends without paying anything.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Write to [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with your listings, costs and decision history. We confirm when it is done.

Still stuck?

Send the ASIN, the marketplace and roughly when it happened. That is usually enough for us to read back exactly what the engine saw.
